I can't believe that it's been 42 years of marriage! We've been thru quite a lot, but all in all, I think we'd both make the commitment again! We've raised some outstanding children and they have given us 12 very cute grandchildren. We love them all. We seem to have survived the "bumps in the road" and are enjoying retirement in pretty good health.
We celebrated by leaving town for 26 hours for an overnighter at The Homestead. What a delight. Yummy food, a pool all to ourselves, Peter Breinholt in a free lawn concert - and a lovely cottage-style room. Happy Anniversary, Hon!

Mother's Day
Mother's Day was wonderful!! I received flowers from two children and candy/book/pedicure/CD treats from the others. I have amazing and kind children. I am so very proud of them all! They are hard workers, great parents, devoted spouses and just fun to be around. The potluck dinner with all of the nearby family was terrific!
Today, John had an angiogram and a stent placed. I'm so very grateful the doctor found the problem and took action to correct it. I can't imagine life without John! He gets to stay overnight at the hospital; I'll be more than happy to have him home tomorrow!
